Lake Highlands
Built up during a housing boom in the 60s and 70s, this sprawling northeast Dallas neighborhood is quite straightforwardly named for both its proximity to White Rock Lake and elevated topography. Taking up significant square mileage in northeast Dallas, Lake Highlands is broader and farther out than most Dallas neighborhoods (and largely perched on higher elevation) but still feels like a cohesive community not far from the city’s excitements.
